At the Will Atherton Canine Centre we pride ourselves on helping the dogs that other trainers have given up on. Our team of expert trainers and behaviourists are amongst the best in the UK and provide incredible transformations to the dogs we work with. You can apply for our world renowned Behavioural Assessment and Treatment Programme here.
If you are struggling with any behavioural issue with your dog and need help read on to find out more:
Our Full Day Programme will typically include a full behavioural assessment throughout the day by one of our expert trainers, in a variety of scenarios and circumstances dependant upon the behavioural issue identified. We will then construct and begin to implement a bespoke behaviour modification and intervention plan, which will be explained to you in depth by the team in order to guarantee the maximum amount of success in implementing the plan to stop the problem behaviours you are facing. We will perform a handover session to provide our prognosis of the root cause of the behaviour and to support you in the implementation of the supplied action plan.
On application you will complete a questionnaire detailing the current situation with your dog to help us prepare for the assessment. On the day you will drop your dog off at 9:30 AM and return for them at 3:00 PM. Upon dropping off your dog at the Centre you will have a brief handover consultation with one of the team so that you can inform us of all the issues you are facing with your dog, talk us through a typical day and provide the vital context to allow us to begin diagnosing any behavioural problems. Your dog will then have multiple formal assessment sessions with Will and his team of Head Trainers where we will craft your dog’s bespoke behaviour modification and intervention plan. We will then begin implementing the plan in multiple formal training sessions throughout the day, alongside structured walks, exercise, and a supervised play session with role model dogs (if it is safe to do so). Finished with a private, 60 minute one-to-one consultation when picking your dog up to provide our prognosis of the root cause of the behaviour, talk you through the bespoke behaviour modification and intervention plan that we have created for your dog including all the progress we have made on the day, and provide guidance on how it should be implemented going forwards for maximum success.
Our Full Day Programme is ideal for anyone who is struggling with problem behaviours in their dog, regardless of the severity or intensity of the issue. We will craft bespoke behaviour modification and intervention plans to help with any problem behaviour that you are facing, such as but not limited to:
Aggression towards other dogs.

Biting / nipping.
Lack of recall.
As well as any other problem behaviour that you may be experiencing with your dog that is preventing them from having the dream life that you’ve always wanted with them. Our Full Day Programme is the best way that we can help you have the perfect canine companion you’ve always dreamed of.
Our one-to-one consultations are designed to help you implement your dog’s behaviour modification and intervention plan, prescribed through our Full Day Behavioural Assessment And Treatment Programme. Your dog’s bespoke plan will outline the suggested number of follow-up one-to-one sessions and the proposed timescales for each.
You and your dog will have a private 90 minute consultation at the Centre with one of our expert trainers. You will work on the training outlined in your dog’s behaviour modification and intervention plan together with the trainer providing guidance, demonstrating techniques and supporting your continued success in implementing the plan.
